The house acts as a sundial. Tiles have been positioned to chart the yearly path of the sun. Moving from the doorway in summer to the point of deepest penetration in winter- the hearth, the sunlight display moves ritually across the expanse of floor, meeting tiles celebrating each month as it travels. |
